We’re Opening the Doors Again!
Almost two years ago, we gathered at the Pavilion for our final showcase — a joyful celebration that brought together all our dance groups, from breakers to ballet students, adult tap dancers, and our long-running Me, Myself & Us. It was a moment full of pride, creativity, and community… and then, shortly after, we pressed pause.
It’s a little late to be wishing you a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda but as there’s newyddion da ~ good news~ we’re rolling with it !
Two weeks ago, the 10 year lease for the Dance Centre Studio was signed by Impelo and MNP Mind. This is a significant moment in Impelo’s future and we look forward to working with you all to breathe new life into our home and fabulous space.

We welcome the Arts Council of Wales' recent review of dance in Wales and their renewed commitment to supporting this vital part of the cultural landscape. It's heartening to see recognition of the value that dance brings to individual lives, to social cohesion, and to the long-term health of the arts sector as a whole.
We’re currently on the look out for a Community and Commercial Hires Manager to join our team at Impelo.

Llandrindod Wells, Powys — Two community-focused organisations, Mid & North Powys Mind and Impelo, are excited to announce a landmark collaboration, a collaboration that was made possible thanks to assistance from Powys County Council and capital grant funding from the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns programme and the Arts Council of Wales Capital Fund programme.

As a charitable provider of community dance activities across Powys, we feel compelled to express our dismay at the wide-reaching impact of the re-organisation of Arts Council Wales’s portfolio following the investment review – not just for our own organisation, workforce and participants but for the community dance sector as a whole across Wales.

Meet the wonderful Epynt Team who are bringing their creative talents together for all aspects of Prosiect Epynt!
Yn ystod gaeaf 1939, derbyniodd trigolion Epynt a Bwlch-y-groes newyddion gan y Swyddfa Ryfel a fyddai’n troi eu byd wyneb i waered. Roedd rhaid i bob cartref gael ei wagio erbyn haf 1940, er mwyn i safle hyfforddi milwrol sefyll yn eu lle.
In the winter of 1939, Epynt and Bwlch-y-groes inhabitants received news from the War Office that would turn their world upside down. All homes were to be vacated by the summer of 1940, for a military training site to stand in their place.
A freelance opportunity for an individual based in mid or north Powys which will include; training and mentoring, shadowing, CPD and time to develop your movement practice to then deliver on the Bach project for Impelo in north Powys.
Glanio is a partnership between 3 creatives - Marla King (she/her), Clara Rust (she/her) and Fin Jordão (they/them) and Impelo. The Glanio Collective came together in the Spring of 2021 through an Artscape project relating to sense of place, climate justice and outdoor arts.

Mae Impelo yn chwilio am ddramodydd i weithio gyda ni ar brosiect, sydd wedi’i gyllido gan Gronfa Treftadaeth y Loteri Genedlaethol ar destun ymgyrch Gwacáu Mynydd Epynt yn 1940.
Impelo is seeking a dramaturg to work with them on their National Lottery Heritage funded project based on the Epynt Mountain Clearance of 1940.

We would love to work with 2 Wales-based dance/movement artists at any stage in their career, ideally living in/near Machynlleth, for our upcoming co created performance project ‘GLANIO’.
