Impelo is entering an exciting new chapter from April 2026.
Following a period of reflection, learning and organisational change, we’re reopening our studio space and renewing our commitment to socially engaged, inventive dance practice rooted in our rural community. This next phase builds on 40 years of work while responding thoughtfully to the realities of the present moment.
As part of this new chapter, we’re introducing a shared leadership and staff structure, made up of three interconnected and equally paid roles: Strategic Lead, Producing Lead and Administrative Lead. Together, these roles balance artistic vision, day-to-day delivery and organisational sustainability. Leadership at Impelo is distributed rather than hierarchical, with each role holding full responsibility for its domain while working collaboratively to support artists, participants and partners with care and clarity.
We’re looking for people who value people-centred ways of working, thrive in collaborative environments and are excited by creative problem-solving in a rural context.
