PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Guiding Principles
CINETIG has been devised in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
It also draws on useful resources from the Physical Education in School Sports (PESS), Creative Movement tools from Sport Wales*. Impelo has also collaborated with Powys based freelance dance artists to ensure the quality of these resources is reflective of best dance practice, is real and shows current work happening in schools in Wales today.
See our downloadable resources underpinning and supporting the work explored on this platform.
* Impelo uses the RECIPE approach from Sports Wales - for more info and resources check out the Education and Teachers section of their website https://citbag.sport.wales/en/

Plus, they can be used to explore a variety of themes, like teamwork, focus, or self-expression.

Prosiect Epynt
Prosiect Epynt was a co-devised creative response to the impact of the Epynt Clearance of 1940, exploring themes of Welsh language, displacement and its intergenerational impact through a collaborative production process with Welsh speaking communities, young people and professional dancers to develop and perform a dance piece and create a digital legacy in the form of a film, education resources and archives.
This platform and all of its resources have been compiled by Impelo and created with and alongside the valuable input of our freelance dance team. Exercises, lessons and ideas have all come in collaboration with the incredible dancers we work with.
