Making the joy and power of dance accessible to everyone is what drives us. In everything we do, we invite and encourage all ages and walks of life to discover and develop their passion for self-expression, and enjoy the transcendental value of dance as a universal language.
Ambition
We believe in each other and the transformational power of dance, and we want to encourage it and share it in everything we do, wherever we do it. We also strive to expand our influence by showcasing the countless benefits of dance on bigger stages, and to secure a bright future of life changing experiences for everyone we reach.

Expression
For us, dance is a unique channel for liberating experiences and life affirming journeys. Where words may struggle, dance can convey the full range of emotions, and help people and groups overcome inhibitions, find themselves, and communicate powerful and inspiring messages.
Transformation
We’re advocates for the ways that dance can change people’s lives on so many levels, and for continuously seeking new ways to share this with as many people as we can. Whether it’s helping people to find their passions as participants, practitioners or appreciators, we exist to support them. We also seek to challenge traditional definitions of dance, and present its value and versatility in fresh and exciting ways.
Did you know?
Impelo is derived from the Latin Impello (to urge on, drive forward) but altered to encourage Welsh pronunciation. We hope this will become a new word to describe our work/approach.
Over the past 3 years we have built on our community programme and cannily crafted internationally acclaimed touring dance productions, reaching and inspiring audiences new to dance.
We are fortunate to have brilliant partners and collaborators who help us make this happen.
